La Autentica: A Welcoming Mexican Dining Experience in Hickory

Let me tell ya, the restaurant has a variety of food items to choose from. I went for dinner and couldn’t really decide what to get other than my usual. I definitely want to come back and try other entrees that looked good. They offered chips and with 2 salsas, one being mild and the other one spicy. It was spicy I say. Know that I can handle my spice. I did try 4 tacos too. The tacos were a bit dry and could be better and could have had more taste to it. I’ve had better tacos before. They also had a robot delivery food which was cool! I say since this is a new place, go give this Mexican place a try.

We tried this restaurant over the weekend and loved it. The space is beautiful and spotless, and the staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish. All of our food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The guacamole alone is worth the visit, but everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend and would absolutely return!

Lunch at La Authentica was awesome, the food and service was great as always! Huge shoutout to our server Alondra, we’ve had her multiple times now and she is always great! She is super friendly, knows the menu very well and is always on top of refills. We love coming to eat here, it’s always so cozy and the food is great every time.

Great ambience, great food. I’ve driven by here numerous times and never stopped and tonight. I am so glad I did. This has to be the best Mexican food that I’ve had since I moved from San Diego 15 years ago. Food was hot, appropriately spiced, great tasting. I had the combination of cheese enchilada and their authentic taco that comes with sour cream, lettuce, and cheese. served with rice and beans. Chips and salsa came beforehand with a choice of mild and spicy, and yes, the spicy was actually spicy, which I loved. And a draft Modelo Especial. Service was prompt. A little “cat face” robot accompanies the server chatting and play music, which was very cute Luis was very professional and friendly . Restaurant was clean. Servers were friendly. Price was very reasonable . Great experience. Highly recommend.

food was delicious! good flavor and quality. service was good and timely. queso was a little more watery than we would’ve liked. tortillas were sweet. we ordered burrito mexicano, queso fundido, and chori pollo.

I recently went to La Autentica for the first time and had a great experience! The waitress kept checking in on me and was very attentive. I ordered the Burrito Mexicano, which was fantastic! I love burritos and this did not disappoint. Another plus is that the restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean. Definitely come here for some awesome food!

My wife and I decided to stop by and try this place out after an evening at The Premier. The atmosphere was relaxed . Food was great serving size large enough that we had leftovers. Margarita was large to say the least and our total bill was $50 and change before tip. All in all a very pleasant dining experience and highly recommended.

The decor was great and not overwhelming for this interior. The food was not very warm I think due to the robot . Most Mexican restaurants will tell you not to touch because the plates are HOT but ours were NOT. The robot was neat but the meal should have been hot. The adult drinks were wonderful and refreshing. All said WE WILL BE BACK !!!
